The WTSAFE SF-130 / SF-152 is a vehicle-mounted forklift access control system that combines driver authorization, real-time speed monitoring, and automatic speed limiting in a single onboard unit. Only approved operators can start the forklift. Once it is running, the system continuously tracks speed, displays it on an LED panel, and warns or restricts the vehicle when preset limits are exceeded. For warehouses and industrial sites dealing with unauthorized driving and speeding, it delivers two layers of control on one platform: who is allowed to drive, and how fast they are allowed to go.

Driver Access Control: Authorized Operators Only

Unauthorized driving is one of the most common causes of forklift incidents, and it usually starts with an unattended key. The SF-130 / SF-152 removes that gap by requiring identity verification before the vehicle will start.

  • Supports fingerprint, RFID card, or QR code verification
  • Forklifts cannot be started without authorization
  • Ensures only trained, approved operators are allowed to drive
  • Helps companies eliminate unauthorized driving and improve overall safety compliance

Because verification is tied to the vehicle's start circuit, access control is enforced automatically on every shift — not left to a supervisor's memory or a shared key. Managers can define which individuals are approved for which trucks, so privileges follow training records rather than convenience.

Overspeed Alarm and Automatic Speed Limiting

Speeding is the second risk this forklift access control system addresses, and it is handled in stages. When vehicle speed exceeds the preset limit, the system triggers flashing LED warnings and voice alerts. If overspeed persists, the forklift speed control system automatically limits speed or disables operation to prevent accidents.

The unit supports multi-level (three-stage) overspeed alarm logic plus a reverse overspeed alert, so warnings escalate with the severity of the violation instead of producing a single alarm that operators learn to ignore. An overspeed lock function is available for sites that require a hard stop after repeated violations. Reverse gear warnings are also supported with wireless infrared remote control.

This staged approach gives operators a chance to correct behavior first, while still guaranteeing that continued speeding has a real consequence.

Real-Time LED Speed Display

The onboard LED display shows real-time driving speed clearly, reminding operators to maintain safe speeds during daily operations. Constant visibility matters in busy aisles: drivers can self-correct before an alarm sounds, and supervisors walking the floor can read vehicle speed at a glance without pulling data. The display works alongside the audible-visual alarm system, so speed status is always visible and violations are always heard.

Seat Belt Monitoring

Safe driving behavior is reinforced beyond speed and access. If the seat belt is not fastened, the system issues a voice warning and prevents vehicle startup. This interlocks basic operator protection with the same start-control logic used for driver authorization, so a forklift cannot be operated by an unbelted driver — authorized or not.

Fleet Monitoring and Data Records

Optional cloud integration allows managers to track speed violations, operator behavior, and forklift usage data for better safety management. Instead of relying on incident reports, safety teams can review daily operating records, identify repeat offenders, and target retraining where it is actually needed. The system also supports vehicle data collection with cloud platform integration and GPS real-time positioning and route tracking, giving fleet managers a clear picture of where and how trucks are being used.

The SF-130 / SF-152 shares the WTSAFE SF-130 speed limiter and driver access control platform. For full-time speed restriction in high-risk working zones, WTSAFE also offers a dedicated forklift speed limiter system. Contact us for full specifications and configuration options for your fleet.

Why WTSAFE

WTSAFE builds vehicle-mounted safety equipment specifically for forklifts and industrial vehicles. The SF-130 / SF-152 is designed around two operational realities: unverified drivers cause incidents, and unchecked speed causes damage. By combining driver authorization, real-time LED speed display, staged overspeed alarms, automatic speed limiting, and seat belt interlocks in one unit, it replaces several standalone devices with a single integrated forklift access control system — easier to install, easier to manage, and easier to enforce consistently across a fleet.
